Update, 7/27/12: Because I’ve realized that I’m playing with fire by using copyrighted images, I’m removing all copyrighted pictures (or pictures that I’m unsure about) from this blog. Since this profoundly alters this particular post, I’m making note of it here. Sorry about that. #1 and #2 from this contest have had to be removed. They were a picture of Mission Vao, from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and a picture of Buffy and Spike, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I want to improve Don’t Forget To Feed The Baby.
It’s important to me that this blog be something that my followers look forward to reading, and that they think of fondly when they are not reading it.
So, in order to make this blog all that it can be, I have conceived my Blog Improvement Project. Over the last months, I have looked critically at other, more successful, blogs; I have analyzed what makes them so great; and I am now ready to copy emulate mirror incorporate the things that I perceive to be the keys to their success. I am ready to, incrementally, turn this into a cookie cutter successful blog.
Please join me, as I take Don’t Forget To Feed The Baby from blah to … well, whatever it will be when we’re done. Hooray!

Part 1: Self-Portrait
It seems that, when I decided that I would only use obscured pictures of myself and my family, I really missed the boat. Forums, online guides, and the precedent set by other bloggers all seem to agree that in order for people to want to hear what I have to say, they MUST know what I look like. I discussed this with Loving Husband, and we agreed that getting more hits and being more ‘relatable’ to my readers is much more important than our sense of personal privacy. Therefore, I’ve gathered together several portraits of me, one of which will appear on my And This Is Me page. I would love to have your help deciding which one is the best, most flattering portrait, and the most appropriate for my little blog. Please vote in the comments.

#3: This is a drawing done of me the week before I gave birth to Sausage. I don’t think it’s very flattering, but it is in keeping with the blog.
Well, what do you all think? Which picture best encompasses your idea of this blogger, and of this blog? Please leave a comment and let me know!
